Abstract

“Peer assessment” is a key collaborative practice for teachers that reinforces the transformation of the school into “a learning organization and a community of learning”. This paper presents “peer assessment” and its core principles as an educational ‘paradigm shift’, as well as a ‘transformative learning process’; it describes its school implementation framework, which is linked to the assessment of learning processes, and it highlights its effects on teachers’ professional learning and development.
